Waves at Huntington Beach

There is nothing in nature that I miss more from home than the waves. Their crashing, crushing, crunching, crackling sound, mixed with with salty, cold wind on a hot day; their vivid spectrum of blues to whites, churned together with muddy browns and sometimes a touch of yellow foam — yeah, I miss that.

This June and July I went back home for three long and wonderful weeks on the California coast. I had almost no use of the Internet. I took pictures.

This series of 30 images was edited using only Photo Editor. I straightened, cropped, where needed. In all cases I applied a personal color levels preset (again in Photo Editor) which I call Nostalgia Blue, which enhances blues with a lovely tinge of green. All images were taken at Huntington Beach, California.
