Just Another Dead Bird
Sometimes, sometimes, everything comes together. The canary in the mine-shaft opens your eye to what is otherwise invisible. A dead bird can conjure up all manner of story as it did for me today.
The dead bird is a theme of mine. It is on my list of things I must photograph – every photographer must have one, they say. They are a metaphor for the condition we live in. They grab a hold of my senses, demand my attention and provide me a window into the world in a way that I otherwise do not see.
Today, as I leant down to photograph the situation, I became part of the photograph, as my action met the eyes of this girl who stepped into frame.
This shot was edited in Photo Editor, using a personal curve preset of mine.
